Beaded Bracelets

Not having knitted anything for a while, I decided to pick my sticks up the other day and have a go at making a bracelet I’d seen on Ravelry. A really simple concept, you just knit an I-cord on 2 small double pointed needles and add beads as you go!

My first attempt involved a mixture of glass beads and came out rather nicely:




The joy of this is that you don't have to be too precise, just sling the beads on randomly and they come out nice and funky feeling.
You have to knit a bit of chord without beads first and again at the end so that you have a nice tie to secure the bracelet around your wrist.



I had a bracelet that I bought in Prague - it was amber chips on stretchy chord; I broke it a while ago but have never brought myself to throw it away...
I'm glad of that now, as for my second attempt at the bracelet, I used golds and browns and added the chips of amber - proper job indeed!
